If you have not picked up a phone book at the front gate and wish to get one, please pick one up before Janaury 20th as we are going to have them picked up to be recycled at that time. Thank you.

COYOTE SIGHTING

There has been a coyote sighting by the 14th tee this morning (Wednesday, January 11, 2012). The coyote was seen close to the patios.

Please make sure that your pets are on a leash as required by the rules and that you are aware of your surroundings when walking them. Also do not leave small children unattended.

Please note the following coyote safety tips:

1. Do not leave cat or dog food outside.
2. Keep all garbage containers closed and inaccessible. Adding ammonia or pepper spray to trash can discourage rummaging by coyotes and other wildlife.
3. Do not feed coyotes!
4. Obey leash laws. Small dogs on the loose are attractive prey for coyotes, especially at night.
5. Cats? Keep them inside, along with pet food bowls.
6. In dry climates, even a water bowl can draw coyotes.
7. Even if you love seeing coyotes, do not let them know it. If a coyote visits your yard, wave your arms, shout, spray it with a hose. Be a threat!
